What you will do 

Serve as the liaison between 919 Marketing and their customers. The core priority is addressing customers’ needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships. You will feel comfortable and competent owning a client call, managing client expectations, and managing a team.  

  • Be the subject matter expert on all things related to your client
  • Act as the main point of contact in all matters relating to client concerns and needs
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships 
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met
  • Stay on top of accounts, making sure they’re receiving services that are within their budget and meeting their needs
  • Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
  • Generate progress reports to give to clients and higher-ups within the organization
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with Account Supervisor
  • Develop industry, sector and product-focused content marketing and PR campaigns
  • Contribute to daily meetings, communicating priorities and updating clients on all content marketing and PR activities
  • Be involved in the process of writing press releases, blogs, articles and email media pitches
  • Be involved in the process of developing lead magnets like infographics, webinars, and blogs
  • Be involved in the process of creating/monitoring/adjusting ads, landing pages, etc.
  • Fulfill the client’s key performance indicators, including lead quantity/quality
  • Work with our social media team to manage digital outreach across all platforms 
  • Take inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned


What we are looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, publication relations, communications, journalism, English, psychology, or any of the liberal arts required
  • 3 -5 years communications/marketing experience required
  • Agency experience required
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask 
  • Previous experience leading an account team is required
  • Nonprofit and/or government experience preferred 
  • Strong communication skills — ranging from presentation, verbal, and written skills required
  • Experience with client strategy required
  • Impressive emotional intelligence and interpersonal expertise
  • A passion for storytelling, including PR, content development and social media
  • Business intelligence – understanding client objectives and operations
  • Solid computer prowess (including CRM experience) 
  • Project management skills required
  • Data driven mindset
  • Writing experience required
  • Live in Raleigh, NC, area and available for office hybrid schedule
